He was baptised on 2 April 1890 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne
On the 1891 census he is recorded as living with his parents at the house of Edward & Elizabeth Forster (his grandparents), 10 Orchard Street, St. Nicholas. He was 2 years old.
He appeared on the 1901 census, with his family, at 83 Philip Street, Westgate. He was 11 years old.
Robert Nevison married Dora Riches on 7 August 1909 in Register Office, South Shields, Durham. Robert is described as a bachelor, aged 19 and by profession a clerk. He resided at Station House, Hebburn. Dora was 20, a spinster and living at 48 Rollox Street, Hebburn. Robert's father, Joseph William Robley, was a station master and Dora's father, George Riches was a gatekeeper.

Robert Nevison Robley was killed in Action on 20th January 1916.He was buried in the Menin Road South Military Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
